Easter

This was the first year that Jennings kinda new what was going on for Easter, so it was lots of fun. The Easter Bunny hid eggs in the backyard, so we had an egg hunt in the afternoon. Jennings had lots of fun. All we heard was "Egg, found it."
He had a pretty good collection when he got done. Unfortunately mom and dad weren't thinking and put candy in all of the eggs. He has been on a sugar since then. Every morning he wakes up and pulls a chair over to the kitchen counter and dives in. His mouth is constantly colored.

We dyed Easter eggs for the first time this year too. He had lots of fun dropping the eggs into the dye and seeing what colors they turned.

Mom had to work on Easter, so Jennings and Dad went to have Easter lunch with Great Grandma Nelson in Alexandria. They had a great lunch where Jennings showed Great Grandma just how much he eats. I think he ate 3 times as much as she did! Then he ran around inside and outside of the building and played with Great Grandma on her wheel chair.

Perfect Sunday

We had a pretty perfect Sunday last weekend. We went to church and stopped to get doughnuts on the way home. Jennings loves chocolate topped doughnuts, but all he really does is suck the chocolate off the top. It's a special treat for him.

Then we went outside and he played on his new swing set. Mom and Dad got it for him for his birthday. He loves playing on the slide and swinging next to Daddy.

And to top it all of Daddy taught Jennings how to play ball. Jennings got a T-ball set for his birthday, so daddy was teaching him how to hit a ball. He hasn't gotten just yet, he hits the T-ball stand instead of the ball, so the whole thing goes flying. But, being a little boy anything that looks like destruction is pretty much the coolest thing ever!
