Easter

This was the first year that Jennings kinda new what was going on for Easter, so it was lots of fun. The Easter Bunny hid eggs in the backyard, so we had an egg hunt in the afternoon. Jennings had lots of fun. All we heard was "Egg, found it."
He had a pretty good collection when he got done. Unfortunately mom and dad weren't thinking and put candy in all of the eggs. He has been on a sugar since then. Every morning he wakes up and pulls a chair over to the kitchen counter and dives in. His mouth is constantly colored.

We dyed Easter eggs for the first time this year too. He had lots of fun dropping the eggs into the dye and seeing what colors they turned.

Mom had to work on Easter, so Jennings and Dad went to have Easter lunch with Great Grandma Nelson in Alexandria. They had a great lunch where Jennings showed Great Grandma just how much he eats. I think he ate 3 times as much as she did! Then he ran around inside and outside of the building and played with Great Grandma on her wheel chair.

Perfect Sunday

We had a pretty perfect Sunday last weekend. We went to church and stopped to get doughnuts on the way home. Jennings loves chocolate topped doughnuts, but all he really does is suck the chocolate off the top. It's a special treat for him.

Then we went outside and he played on his new swing set. Mom and Dad got it for him for his birthday. He loves playing on the slide and swinging next to Daddy.

And to top it all of Daddy taught Jennings how to play ball. Jennings got a T-ball set for his birthday, so daddy was teaching him how to hit a ball. He hasn't gotten just yet, he hits the T-ball stand instead of the ball, so the whole thing goes flying. But, being a little boy anything that looks like destruction is pretty much the coolest thing ever!

Terrible 2

That's right, we now officially have a 2 year old. How did he get to be 2, I don't know. It feels like yesterday that he was home with me learning how to smile or roll over or even walk. He has grown up so fast that we can hardly believe it. He has turned into a wonderful little man. He has his moments, that is for sure, but he is a great little kid. He brings more joy to our life than we thought possible and we love watching him learn new things everyday!
Jennings had lots of fun for his birthday. We had his party at the YMCA. they have a huge kids play land that he and all his friends went nuts at. By the time we left everyone needed a nap, even Moms and Dads! Here are some of the stand out moments.

Openings tons of Birthday presents.

Eating cake and ice cream.

And playing with all of his great friends!

Old Friends

We've had a busy few weeks in the Kuhne house. My best friend from college, Danielle, and her son, Carter, have moved in with us for a while. Her husband is serving in Kosovo and they decided to move back to Fargo so Danielle can start working again. They have taken over the basement and will be staying with us until the beginning of May. They boys are having tons of fun playing and causing trouble. That same weekend our other roommate from college came to town to visit. We decided to take the boys to Chucky Cheese for the first time together. We all have boys and they are only 9 months apart. Connor is 1 month older than Jennings and Carter is 8 months younger than Jennings. They had lots of fun playing while we got to catch up. We don't get together nearly enough!

Happy Valentine's Day

We spent Valentine's day at Grandma and Grandpa Kuhne's house this year. It was lots of fun. Grandma made a huge breakfast and everyone ate way to much. Jennings and Sawyer got to play and we got to visit with Uncle Jake and Aunt Nyla.
Jennings had lots of fun playing with his cousin. He loves holding Sawyer and laying by him when he is on the floor.

Grandpa Joe's Birthday

Grandpa Joe turned the big 50 this year, so we decided to throw him a surprise party. He thought he was meeting Grandma and Grandpa for dinner at a Mexican restaurant, which he did. But when he got there we were all waiting to surprise him. It was so much fun and he had no idea what was going on. He even got to wear a sombrero and have the Mexican happy birthday song sung by the restaurant people.
Jennings loved this cane, so he got it for Grandpa for his birthday. It has a horn and a bottle for his medicine. It also has a pair of dentures and a magnifying glass. Lots to play with!
Grandpa got lots of presents, but his favorite was a surprise from Uncle Dave and Aunt Vicki. He got a new PUPPY! They are going to get him in the middle of March and are super excited about it. They have already named him, Roscoe, and bought lots of new dog toys. My dad also got a book, "How to train a Lab for dummies". He is reading up and following all the directions.

Friends and Family

Last weekend Uncle JR and soon to be Aunt Rachel came to Fargo to visit. We had lots of fun. Jennings loves uncle JR. Every time he left the room Jennings would say JR? and start looking for him, super cute. JR and Rachel had their engagement pictures taken while they were up here. While they were doing that Jennings had some friends come over to play.

Another Blizzard

That's Right, another blizzard in the land of Fargo. We now have more snow than we know what to do with. We are running out of room to put it all, so shoveling is getting interesting. However, Jennings loves it. Everyday we get home and all Jennings says is shovel. He loves to get out his little red shovel and help Daddy.
We took advantage of all of the snow and went sledding in our front yard. Jennings also made his first snowball with a little help from Daddy.

We discovered that we love peanut butter toast. Don't know if it's the taste or the mess. Either way, it's fun!

We also played dress up. Jennings loves putting on his Handy Mann costume and fixing things around the house. Just like Dad.

New Toys

Well, my husband decided to get me a new toy for Christmas this year, a new camera. I am so excited. I hated our old camera with a passion and love the new one. There is only 1 problem, our computer is a little too dated to deal with all the new high tech stuff it comes with. Hence the absence of pictures from Christmas. It took me for ever to figure out what I was doing wrong and the answer is... the memory card is too big for our old computer to read. So, i put the old little one in and here are a couple of pictures of Jennings with his new toys.

His new big boy dump truck, or as he calls it his "Dumpa Truck"!

Elmer Fud hat, just like Daddy has!

Crazy Christmas

Christmas this year was a little bit different than it normally would have been. OK, a lot different. Mom had to work Christmas Day, so we were going to have Grandma and Grandpa Kuhne come up Christmas Day for Kuhne Christmas and Grandma and Grandpa Galvan come up the next day. However, we had a pretty big blizzard so no one was able to make it up to the great white north. Jennings and Daddy spent the entire weekend shoveling snow, and Mom was stuck sleeping at the hospital, to make sure there were people there to do the work. More of our Christmas story and photos to come!
